Cahaba River
The Cahaba River is the longest free-flowing river in Alabama. The river flows 191 miles, beginning in St. Clair County, Alabama. It joins the Alabama River in Dallas County southwest of Selma.

The Friends of the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge was organized to provide support for the newly formed Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge.The group was formed with a specific mission in mind - to support the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge in its efforts to protect, preserve, and restore its diverse, natural, and historic resources in a manner which will enhance the educational and recreational aspects for the public.

meeting will be held on the 1st Monday of each month

at 5:30 p.m. in the West Blocton Municipal Building.

 

The public is welcome and members are encouraged to attend.

Total acquisition boundary is 7,300 acres.
Complex Headquarters: Mountain Longleaf NWR, Anniston, Alabama.
Location: Just north of the confluence of the Little Cahaba and Cahaba Rivers to just north of the Piper Bridge in Bibb County about 4 miles east of West Blocton, AL.
